Eder Delin is divided into three main areas with a few nooks for privacy. The age is home to a wide variety of plants and birds, although the air is constantly shrouded by a pinkish-orange fog that restricts view beyond a few yards, so seeing the animals is nearly impossible. Delin is perhaps the most serene of the garden Ages that are available to explorers. Delin has two main seasons, and in winter there is a cover of snow on everything.

Winter Delin

Delin has an alcove with a sculpture similar to the one found in Eder Kemo, although there are differences. It's located next to the spot one arrives in when linking to the garden. This is one of three known sculptures that were carved from rock imported from the Age of Rebek. The floating sculpture in Eder Kemo and the seed sculpture found in the neighborhood meditation chambers are the others.

The Age's maintainers mark is placed near the statue. The power in the mark seems to be shorting out, and the light flickers slowly.

Maintainers mark

One of the gazebos has this marking on the floor. It's too worn for me to make out what it might be. The visible edging suggests it might have been a copy of the Library Tree design found on Ae'gura Island.

Wildlife:

Eder Delin has no visible animals due to a thick, persistent orange-pink mist that hangs in the air year-round. However, the area surrounding the Age seems to be a haven for birds.

Here are some of the sounds that can be heard around the garden.

Explorer Olorin has been trying to identify some of the bird sounds. So far, it appears that bird 1 may be a female Blackbird alarm call. Bird 3 may be a crow. Bird 6 may be a red-throated diver. Please note that these are tentative identifications, and have not yet been confirmed.

Many of the Ages are cross-dimensional versions of Earth. The plant life is often the same, or very close varieties. This is true in Eder Delin, where many of the plants are ones that can be found on Earth.

The ground is covered in blue grass and a soft, leafy plant I can't identify. Fallen leaves, mostly maple, cover a lot of it.

I'm no botanist, so I'll just show you sketches and pictures of the plants of the Age. Please contact me if you can identify any of them. DRC documentation gives names to a few plants, but not many. The last picture is only identified as a vine by the DRC.

These are the two plants that are identified in DRC documentation. The first is a variation of maple tree with five-lobed compound leaves. The second is marsh fern (Thelypteris palustris), which is a common plant in many Ages where there is reasonably wet ground.

An explorer who calls herself Moose 2 identified this plant, which seems to be common in Eder Delin and Eder Kemo. It's called Persian Shield (Strobilanthes dyerianus). On Earth, it's native to Burma. Persian Shield has 8-inch-long leaves that are iridescent shades of purple, lilac and pink, with purple-maroon on the undersides. The foliage looks like it has a light coating of silver.
